Google  trends show a rising search for trekking, and climbing in South America over the last 10 years( +- 200%). This translates to a potential increase in demand for specialized gear.

The global adventure tourism market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 15.4% from 2021 to 2030, with Latin America being a significant growth contributor due to its rich natural landscapes and tourism investments (Allied Market Research). The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) reported that travel and tourism in South America contributed 8.6% to the region’s GDP in 2019, and this figure is expected to rise.

Chile:

With 20 million people has a low import tax, has also a long mountaineering tradition, with the capital , Santiago, just about 1 hour by car to the Andes.
